Check out or latest installation for DeCOR, the Design Center of Richmond. A medley of textures, this living kitchen display features mid-century modern detailing such as lime green gloss foil doors, zebra wood panels and bamboo wood floors.
One of our favorite parts of the space is the shou sugi ban covered pilaster supporting one end of the raised concrete bar top. Originating in Japan, this technique is achieved by scorching Japanese Cyprus and is typically used as an exterior siding treatment. Through charring, the boards are preserved and become fireproof making it the ideal material for exterior
applications. We love how the charred texture contrasts the smooth glossy finish of the cabinetry. Our goal is to re-invent the way materials are used and always push the limits of what is expected.

Another favorite is the raised concrete bar. We’ve included an integrated custom curved sink.
