Easy Soft Pretzels

2-3 cups bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon instant yeast
1 cup warm milk (@110 degrees)
2 tablespoons coarse salt
4 tablespoons baking soda
4 quarts water
1 egg well beaten

Mix flour, salt, sugar, yeast and milk in a bowl until it forms a ball. Cut dough into 6 pieces and roll into logs. Let rest @5-10 min. Repeat until you have long thin strands, about 15-20” long. Shape into pretzels. Boil in water and baking soda for @30 seconds. Wash with egg wash, sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake at 425 @10-15 min. or until browned.
